FISMA & DoD Directive 8570
New Horizons of Tucson and Sierra Vista offers government and DoD agencies solutions to meet the compliance requirements of both the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and DoD Directive 8570, which call on federal government and DoD agencies to demonstrate and prove that personnel are IT security competent via IT certifications and annual metrics reporting of their workforce on IT security related skills.
These skill-based certification programs are aimed at government personnel who come into contact with and/or administer secure government IT systems and/or intranet-related services within the federal government agencies and the U.S Department of Defense (DoD). New Horizons can help your agency personnel meet FISMA Directive 8570 training requirements and assist agency personnel to achieve both IT certifications and regulatory compliance.
New Horizons of Tucson and Sierra Vista is the largest provider of DoD 8570 training. We have the most comprehensive program available for your people to pass their needed exams. Take a look at what we offer for our CompTIA Programs:
10 reasons why New Horizons should be your
DoD 8570.01M CompTIA Solution
1. Instructor Led class with certified instructor who has passed the most recent exam (since CompTIA certifications never expire, someone can be CompTIA certified and not have taken the exam in 5 or 10 years) our instructors will have the latest exam experience.
2. On Line supplemental class and e-learning resources to support the pre & post class studies.
3. On Line practice exams to help students understand the type of questions and get used to a timed exam. 80% of our students who take practice exams before the test and score at least a 90% pass the exams on the first try.
4. Test-pass assurance. When you purchase the class from us, attend a study session, and score a minimum of an 85% on the practice exam in Certification mode with 60 questions, we will pay for a 2nd shot exam if the student does not pass on his/her first attempt.
5. Test preparation study sessions. These sessions will be held monthly for A+, Network + and Security + at our facility and will help the students with questions they have on the class or exam and drive them to use the materials provided and to insure they are studying for the exams. A requirement for the student to attend the study session is that they have access and used the on line practice exam at least 1 time before class. This allows our instructors to see who is in the study sessions and help the students with their direct needs.
6. Free access to our mentored learning class room for 1 on 1 instruction with our mentors to help our students work through the difficulties of each class after they have attended the regular instructor led class. This is on a space available basis, but we do offer it on Tuesday and Thursday night. Great program for after attending a study session and taking an on line practice exam to drill down on deficiencies.
7. Free repeat privilege at no additional cost: Students will maintain the ability to repeat class for a minimum of 1 year from the last day of class at no additional charge. This resource is on a “seat available” basis.
8. Free Employee Training Insurance. If you send an employee to one of our classes and he/she transfers to a different unit or out of the military before certifying within 3 months of the class, you can put their replacement into another like class for only the cost of courseware (usually less than $100.)
9. Preferential timing for your Certification Test Taking at our facility. Do not get caught having to travel for certification exams.
10. Local Training Partner. We are here for you before, during and after class; we support your needs 24/7. We have been in Tucson for over 12 years supporting our DoD facility and its G.I’s.
